This report is not fully functional. It is a work in progress and waiting for some fixes from MV. It is useful however for getting the accurate number of sheets required for a project. The known issues are as follows:
  • The Sheet Stock section looks to the Optimized sheet patterns, not the sheet qty to get the sheet count. This means you must select all of the sheet materials when you process in order to have the sheet count show up in the report. Sometimes, a sheet pattern will have multiple sheets cut to the same pattern. The report will not see any sheet qty greater than 1 for an individual pattern. As a result, you must open the Optimized sheet cutlist in your reports, check to see if any patterns have a qty greater than 1, and if so, add the additional sheets to your Master Takeoff sheet qty's manualy. You should also be aware that the program will not be able to differentiate between multiple sheet sizes for the same material. The Optimized sheet count will not necessarily be the same qty as the Nested sheet count. So, it you are nesting, you will need to run a nest summary and compare the Optimized qty's vs the Nested qty's. And last but not least, the extended price does not calculate.
  • The Solid Stock section sometimes lists the same material twice on separate lines.
  • The Hardware section does not calculate the extended price of each line item correctly. However, the Total hardware cost is accurate.
  • The Buyout section is just plain goofy, user beware.

Has any further development been made on this? I am trying to do the same thing with my reports. I figure there is the number of nested sheet parts somewhere in MV's programming. I just need to look for it.
