I am not sure what your specific application is but here is how to add one to a product.  Open the product properties for the product that you want to add the token to in autocad.  Select the part, on the right hand side of the window, you want to add the token to. Select the machining token tab of the product properties.  There most likely will already be some tokens listed on the left hand side of the window.  Right click in the white area they are listed in and select insert new token from the menu.  Choose pocket mortise.  If you select the plus sign to the left of the folder you will see the tokens default parameters listed.  I won't go into detail about each one but they do have help text which displays when you select them.  After you have modified you parameters, right click on the pocket mortise token (the folder) and select pick panel edge.  You will be brought back to the acad window and you can then select the edge of the panel.  Pick the edge (you will see it highlight red) and then select draw product to see the results.

I appreciate your additional MV training.  But adding a machinine token is a nobrainer.

What I need to know is the following:

    1. How to token create a pilot hole in the adjacent panel.  So I can line the 2 panels up
    2. How to properly formulate the hole locations parameter so that I can add however many pockets even spaced out on a panel.
    3. I am also not sure what the face bore diameter controls when I change it I see no difference.

    Mike,

I was not my intent to talk down to you I just didn't know where you were coming from and I wanted to give you as much info as I could in the hope of answering your question.

    MikeP:
  • How to token create a pilot hole in the adjacent panel.  So I can line the 2 panels up
  • Since the pocket mortise token is not associative, I don't see how you could do this with it alone.  You would have to add an associative drilling token to the same panel edge as your pocket mortise and write a formula that spaces them both evenly.  I would think that MV could make you a custom token if this was something that you really needed and you didn't want to put the effort into making two tokens work together.

    MikeP:
    1. I am also not sure what the face bore diameter controls when I change it I see no difference.

I don't know what that parameter is intended for either since there is no face boring being done with this token.

I appreciate your help. It apprears I may have to call MV for a custon token or figure out how to align up a drilling token for pilot holes.
