    SEPARATE HINGE PROGRAMS

I AM HAVING AN ISSUE WITH HINGE HOLES COMING OUT AS SEPARATE PROGRAMS WHICH IS SHOWING UP AT OUR CNC ROUTER OF COURSE BUT ALSO IT IS CAUSING 2 LABELS PER SIDE TO BE GENERATED AT OUR SAW ALSO.I AM NOT SURE WHAT COULD CAUSE THIS OR WHERE TO FIX IT BUT IF ANYONE COULD HELP I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT.THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

    Re: SEPARATE HINGE PROGRAMS

It sounds like your hinges are applying machining to the outside of the part. This may be caused by a material thickness with an incorrect hinge applied to the product in the material file. An example is, if you use 5/8" material for cabinet sides but have a 120 DEG Blum with 0mm base plate for the door hinges. In this case the associative machining is finding face 6 of the part rather than face 5. The fix for this condition is to use a hinge with a 3mm base plate, where the machine tokens are adjusted for the 1/8" difference in material thickness. To see how the machining is applied to the part, draw the product in 3D and HIDE the drawing when viewing the product from either the left or right side, if you see the boring for the hinges when the objects are hidden, then the machine tokens are detecting face 6 of the part.
