Drive won't read AutoCAD 2008 disk

I posted this on other sites, but thought I may get some help here, too... :

We had to uninstall our MV and AutoCAD. After installing AutoCAD 2006, and attempt to upgrade to 2008 (something I've already done in the past), the CD drive doesn't recognize the disk. It acts like there is no information on it disk itself. I get the same result on a computer that already has 2008, but if I try the disk on any other computer it works fine. I have Windows XP SP2, with the usual amount of comp. specs that will run all the stuff fine.

I've already restarted and relogged on, to no avail. Also I've tried "refresh" when viewing the D: drive in windows explorer. Any ideas on how I can get this thing installed? Thanks again!

On the computer that will read the CD, can you copy the enire CD to a network folder? If so you can run setup.exe from there. Otherwise try and copy the CD to a local folder and burn a new one. Also, I dont recall if AutoCAD 2008 is on a DVD or not that could be the problem.

Thanks, Scott! I'm copying the disc to the network now. The 2008 install disk does appear to be on a DVD. I'm not exactly sure how I installed it in the first place (as this is a re-installation). I do have a Roxio DVD burning program, but I can't even find the basic DVD player, so I'm not sure if my drive can read DVDs.

Our Autocad 2008 came on a DVD We had to request the program on CD to load it on our computer.
