Ok, here's the scoop:
We have two engineers with desktops running MV 6.7.704. We have a Thermwood router controller and a separate laptop in the shop. We have MV and ALIS on our workstations in the office and just ALIS on the laptop. (6.7.704 on the laptop as well)
The label printer is attached to the router terminal, but we can't use ALIS on that specific station; for some reason our router's computer doesn't like it. (something to do with the screen resolution...) Both of us can print the labels at our workstations, since I formatted the label report for that label printer as a network printer.
Ok, so now in the same fashion, just print from the laptop next to the router, right? No go! I know that that laptop can access the label printer; I push the "print test" button in the printer driver properties (while at the laptop), and voila, a label spits out.
However, when I try and use ALIS to print the labels on the aforementioned laptop, the part on the screen changes color, but nothing happens after that, no "printer error" message, no nothing. The label printer just sits there, dumb as a post. I can click on all the parts on the ALIS screen, and the same thing happens, no labels or error messages.
What's going on here?
